Hypnosis for the MIND

Our brain is more flexible than we’ve ever thought before. It changes because it is constantly optimizing and reorganizing itself by transferring cognitive abilities from one lobe to the other. We can change the wiring in our brain by changing how we think! This is called Neuroplasticity.

Thanks to brain imaging technology, we can actually see the brain in action and we can go deeper and deeper into the brain to observe what we could not before. We can see how every time neurons in our brain wire together; we are creating a new memory or a new skill, even a new feeling. We also know now, that we can re-wire old neuro pathways (connections in our brain) and create new ones. With this evidence, now accepted by the medical and scientific community, we can now mindfully and willingly create new lives.

As more and more information is collected by scientist and scholars on the Neuroplasticity of the brain, it becomes more accepted that we can create physical changes in the brain by using hypnosis, mindfulness and meditative states of mind. These physical changes in our brain translate as new ways of feeling and new ways of seeing the world.

So what does hypnosis have to do with Neuroplasticity? What is the connection? It is now widely accepted by Neuroscientist that learning of new behaviours and skills happens more effectively when done at an Alpha Brain Wave Level.

PLEASE NOTE: I always use Hypnosis  in combination with Psychotherapy to help clients with anxiety, depression, history of trauma and phobias. I DO NOT USE HYPNOSIS as the only tool.
